About
I've spent nearly two decades in enterprise software. I started in development and technical writing, led QA engineering teams, then spent years as a business analyst and product owner. That means I understand a problem from the business side and the delivery side.
I've run requirements workshops with customers across North America and Europe, worked on site in the UK, USA, Canada, India, Brazil and the Netherlands, and worked with development teams on three continents.
I'm not the expert in every technology. I'm someone who learns a new domain quickly, asks the awkward questions early, and keeps everyone focused on the outcome rather than the noise.
What I do
Business analysis
Discovery, requirements workshops and clear specifications that development teams can build from.
APIs and integration
Defining API and integration requirements, and getting stakeholders with competing needs to agree on one unambiguous definition.
Product ownership
Shaping and prioritising backlogs so teams spend their time on what delivers the most value.
Getting it live
Early adopter and beta programmes, testing strategy and go-live support, drawing on a background in QA leadership.
How I work
- Candid. I'll tell you what I think, kindly and early, rather than what you want to hear.
- Responsive. People come back to me because I don't leave them waiting.
- Outcome focused. The goal is a solution that solves the business problem, not a perfect document.
- On site or remote. Equally comfortable in either, across time zones.
Qualifications
